I am an ACC Certified ADHD and Parenting Coach based out of Ontario, Canada. I also have 20 years of experience working in Special Education, in both elementary and high school settings. I have extensive knowledge of ADHD and strategies that work to calm the chaos.
I left my career with the school board due to injuries that would not allow me to perform my job to the best of my abilities. This broke my heart to have to leave my kiddos at school. But this struggle produced a bright silver lining. I went back to school and became an ADHD Coach. I wanted to combine both my special needs experience with my coaching. I have felt the frustration from both parents and teachers over the years. I want to help parents work with their child’s teacher and educate the parents on the importance of being involved and that they have a say. I am determined to teach parents how to navigate the education system so their child has a successful and positive school experience. Consistency between school and home is detrimental to your child’s success. It excites me to be able to share my knowledge because your kids deserve it.
ADHD has also hit home personally; my husband was officially diagnosed with ADHD just a few years ago. The diagnosis did not come as a surprise but kind of a relief. He has been open for years to trying new strategies to help. The benefits of being married to a Special Needs Educator. The daily battles my husband and our family has had to suffer due to ADHD, because it’s not only your stuggle has lead me to wanting to teach anyone suffering that sometimes a simple change can make a world of differenace. This is why it is so important for me to teach Adults that you don’t have to suffer any longer.
A few quick changes is all that’s needed most times to calm the CHAOS!
